On Thursday evening, June 13, 2024 the Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary held its commencement program in the beautiful sanctuary of Trinity PRC in Hudsonville, MI.
Earlier that day, our senior seminarian, Arend Haveman (a son of that congregation), successfully sustained his examination before the PRC Synod and was declared a candidate for the ministry of the Word and sacraments in the PRC. He is eligible for a call from the churches on or after July 13.
That evening his graduation was held, with Prof. B. Huizinga delivering a powerful message based on Psalm 108 with the title, "The Minister's Fixed Heart."
Rev. G. Eriks, president of the Theological School Committee, and Prof. R. Cammenga, the rector, presented Arend with his diploma.
Afterward refreshments and fellowship were enjoyed with family, friends, and fellow saints.
We thank the Lord for His grace in upholding brother Haveman throughout the examination and for His goodness in providing another laborer in the Lord's vineyard in the PRC.
