2026 at PRTS: Same Needs, Same God, Same Grace

As faculty, students, and staff return to their work on behalf of the PRCA and the ministry of the gospel in 2026, we do so with humble trust in our sovereign Lord. This we know: We are needy sinners, He is a faithful Father, and His grace is all-sufficient.

Our needs always remain the same, though our specific circumstances may change in this new year. Apart from the Lord, we are unable to abide in Christ and persevere in salvation, insufficient to fulfill our callings, and helpless to handle any trials and temptations. Always we are dependent on our almighty God and His saving grace in Jesus.

So, we begin the year looking to Him in humble and trustful prayer, and we ask you to do the same.

  1. Pray for our newer faculty as they continue to teach new courses, train men for the gospel ministry, and labor in various ways in and for the churches. Pray for Prof. B. Gritters as he concludes his teaching labors this semester before becoming emeritus officially in June.

  2. Pray for our students (seminary and pre-seminary) as they busy themselves in their intense studies. Pray for senior Bruce Feenstra as he returns from his internship in NW Iowa for his final semester.

  3. Pray for the staff as they serve faculty and students in this new semester. A new beginning is always exciting, but we too need the prayer support of our fellow church members and friends.

  4. And, continue to pray for more students, for those who are considering the call to the ministry and those who have not yet heard that call. The Lord knows our need, and He calls us to bring that need to Him in conscious, humble dependence. Let us earnestly seek His face and lay our petitions before Him.

May the Lord richly bless and keep you in 2026! Confess this truth of Hid Word with us:

We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following. For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. ~ Psalm 48:9-14
